H2Overboard (“we”, “us”) operates captained pontoon charters on Lake Norman, North Carolina and the website h2overboardlkn.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Effective August 5, 2026.

When you send an inquiry or booking request — through our website, by email, or through a lead form on platforms such as Facebook or Instagram — we receive the details you provide, typically your name, email address, phone number, and any message about the trip you have in mind.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive basic technical data when you visit — such as your device type, browser, and pages viewed — used only to keep the site working well.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you share to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and prepare a charter quote or booking
  • Plan and operate your trip, including required guest details
  • Send you information you have asked for about our services
  • Meet legal, safety, and insurance obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Lead Ads on Facebook and Instagram

If you submit your details through a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, that information is collected by Meta on our behalf and shared with us so we can contact you about your request. Meta’s own data practices are described in Meta’s Privacy Policy. We use lead-form submissions only to respond to your inquiry, as described above.

Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business — such as booking, communication, and payment tools — and only as needed to serve you, or where the law requires it. Captains and crew receive the guest details needed to operate your trip safely.

Retention

We keep inquiry and booking information for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and insurance requirements, then delete or anonymize it.

Your Choices

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email hschmidt40@gmail.com and we will handle your request promptly.

Children

Our services and website are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
